This is a piece that I intended to submit to the IGN feature, Hyrule's Most Wanted, but I wasn't able to complete it before the deadline. But here it is anyway. I put work into it, so I might as well show somebody, right? XP

Basically, I sort of wanted to reinterpret the design a bit. I used a lion's body rather than a horse's, and I made the lion head a mask, which an unknown wearer beneath. I wanted to give it some characteristic Japanese flair, which is oddly absent the Zelda franchise, as it imitates more western and other cultural designs. He's'a chargin' his lasar!!! Er... fire breath.

Check out the feature, which I've linked to in my latest Journal Entry. The submission there was a River Zora, which I'll eventually post here as well.

Very different interpretation on him. I can't really put my finger on it, but something about this piece is bothering me, I think it's the lighting or the shape maybe. The lion-esk figure just seems a tad off. Nice change of design though Hex, it's pretty impressive.

It's certainly not perfect, It's pretty rushed, actually. I might go back one day and touch it up or do a different piece on it entirely using this same design, perhaps making a few changes.
