This is the full cover art for an upcoming novel by Zyearth-Defender
(Rachel), titled Zyearth Chronicles: The Stolen Defender (as the title implies
Back a loooooooong time ago, the two of us cowrote a roleplay called "The Island," which followed the escapades of our sonic fan-characters (including Omni the Hedgehog).
Over the years, I went on to essentially abandon my characters, while Rachel went on to completely rewrite the story and reinvent all the characters, leading to what you see here.
As for the art itself, it was a big undertaking for me, as I've never really done an illustration of this scale, but as usual, I did a lot of experimenting, and I somehow managed to pull it off.... I think. However, I'm still open to making remedial improvements if anyone wants to give me critique. I always feel like my art pales in comparison to that of professionals, and I dunno that I'm qualified to be making book covers.
But as someone who was even somewhat involved with the story in its baby stages, I felt like it was appropriate for me to do the cover art. You can question my motivations if you so please. XP
This particular wide composition is for a hardback dust cover, should the book be printed in hardback form.
